NCAAF Week 8 Prediction

Who wants to make some money?  Well, unless you are near a sportsbook, who just wants to know who is going to win this weekend for good-old fashioned entertainment?  Either way, you can get it here!

There are four games this weekend that I like and feel comfortable with, which are also supported by my formula.  There is one early game followed by three late games.  The best bets are as follows:

Oklahoma (-8) @ TCU

Vanderbilt @ Kentucky (-11.5)

Ohio State @ Purdue (Over 67)

USC @ Utah (-7)

Oklahoma has an offense that can score and score in bunches on any team in America.  TCU has really fallen apart as of late, scoring less than 20 in each of its last three games.  I dont care how good the TCU defense is, they will not hold Oklahoma to less than 20 points.

Kentucky has proven they are for real this year.  Vanderbilt just blew an 18-pt lead at home to the Florida Gators last weekend.  Kentucky is a tough team and have been even more formidable at home with their only loss coming in OT at Texas A&M.  These teams are trending in opposite directions with Vandy dropping four straight and three straight vs the spread while Kentucky has covered 3 of 4 with their one non-cover being a push.

Ohio State has a star in Dwayne Haskins and they are putting up a ton of points on everyone, averaging 46.3 points per game.  Purdue has increasingly become better under Coach Brohm each week.  Purdue is quite possibly the best 3-3 team in America.  The Boilermaker’s red-hot offense combined with the loss of Nick Bosa from Ohio State’s defense should be enough to push this over the total.

USC is a team that has been improving each week, much like Purdue, mentioned above.  Utah is really handling business and have convincing wins over Stanford and Arizona the past two weeks.  The Utes have the balance needed to keep USC on their heels.  That knowledge, coupled with home field advantage, should be enough for a comfortable 14 point win according to the formula.

As always, picks for all power 5 conference games are available under the NCAAF tab.  Let’s get winning!
