Can we go 5-0 this week? I am feeling pretty good about myself after starting best bets last week and going 4-0 on NFL picks. Can I do it again or will the football gods hit me with a dose of reality?
There are five games this week that I am confident will come to fruition. Here we go:
Tennessee @ LA Chargers (-6.5) in London
Carolina (+5) @ Philadelphia
New Orleans (+2.5) @ Baltimore
Cincinatti @ Kansas City (-6)
NY Giants @ Atlanta (-5.5)
The Chargers have been on a tear lately. The Titans cannot seem to score. The game is in London. This is a recipe for disaster for Tennessee.
Carolina has been solid this year, usually managing to make things happen. Philadelphia have not been able to get their superbowl mojo back this year. Cam Newton presents a different set of challenges than other QB for most defenses. Carolina should keep this game close, if not win outright.
Drew Brees and the Saints are always dangerous and have been particularly tough on the road. Baltimore has amazing balance and a nice change-up with Lamar Jackson but they will not be able to keep up with the Saints on the scoreboard.
KC is one of my favorite teams this year. They are playing great and look to make a strong run at the Superbowl. Cincinatti has made huge strides this year and I suspect this may be a playoff matchup later this year but in Arrowhead Stadium, KC is almost unbeatable.
Atlanta has dropped multiple games this year on the last drive. They have played well but the secondary has been decimated by injuries. Lucky for the dirty birds, the NY Giants have been miserable and I think this will be an easy cover.
