NFL Week 10 Recap

Week 10 was a bit of a wild week in the NFL.  There were not a lot of upsets per se but there were many games that had outcomes that were larger or smaller than expected.  The best years in professional football are the years that make you feel that everyone has a chance.  Halfway through the season, most fans still feel that way.

Over on the West Coast, the Los Angeles Rams were able to get back on the winning track in a closely fought contest against the Seattle Seahawks, winning by 5.  The San Francisco 49ers were hoping that Nick Mullens could duplicate his last performance but the NY Giants had enough film on the young QB to force him into a few costly errors, ultimately defeating SF 27-23.  The Chargers pulled off a win over the lowly Oakland Raiders in a low scoring affair 20-6.

What happened to the New England Patriots?  They were absolutely throttled by the Tennessee Titans 34-10 in one of the few upsets of the week.  Is Tennessee finally beginning to get healthy and gel or was this just a fluke?  Only time will tell.  In another of the upsets for the week, Dallas traveled to Philadelphia and handed the Eagles a home loss to pull into a tie for second place in the division.  Finally, the Buffalo Bills had another of their explosive games that seems to happen once a month or so, destroying the NY Jets 41-10.

The Elldee Sports Best Bets finished the weekend going 1-3 for the weekend on pro football.  While this is the worst week since starting the best bet predictions, as a whole, Elldee Sports is still pushing a 61.9% win percentage in the NFL.  It was a rough week following two late covers by Seattle and the Giants, both on the road.  You can’t win them all and my confidence is still strong knowing the losses were close, late losses.  I like my chances next week as there are already a few nice spreads.  Until next week, good luck.
